Susan has been in business for over twenty years, including representing a broad range of medical device and pharma companies in overseas market. She is credited for bringing companies like Parke Davis (now part of Pfizer), Space Labs Medical and Steris, into the Russian market. Susan also managed product development and user experience for Skila, a knowledge management platform used by nine of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies. Susan established Axxiem in 2004 to focus on developing innovative web-based applications to solve challenges in this industry.

Tapio Schnaars brings 10+ years of web development and design experience to Axxiem's management team. With expertise in graphic communications, project management and web technologies, he heads up all design and development projects as well as the company’s important hosting and support services. Tapio spearheaded numerous innovative projects for Axxiem’s clients including development of custom portals, original 3d digital animations, large ecommerce integrations projects and many others. Tapio has also been a leader in development of Axxiem’s flagship product, AxxiTRIALS. Tapio holds a BA in Fine Art from the University of California Santa Cruz and a Master of Arts degree in Graphic Communications Management and Technology from New York University.
